How They Met
Shreya shares, “Ankit used to fly frequently to the US for work and that’s how I first met him through mutual friends on one of his trips to New York. And, as he kept visiting the US often, our love blossomed. Being a man of few words, desires, and paramount principles, I fell for him instantly!”

Wedding Planning
On the decor, planning and execution front, Shanqh Events took charge and made sure that the decor reflected the bride’s elegant wardrobe. To ensure that each shot captured the true beauty of her gorgeous lehengas and the rituals, Shreya chose Weddingrams who impressed her with their superior photography skills. Shanqh had everything planned accurately and beautifully. If the opportunity comes up, I’ll be more than happy to work with them again.” Adding to the team were beauty experts Jasmeet Kapany and Hair Masters Luxury Salon.

Weddings Functions

Sangeet
“For my sangeet, I decided to go light on the jewelry as I knew that my wedding look would include heavy pieces. I chose a bright pink Abhinav Mishra lehenga with mirror work on it for this function. Being an ardent fan of the dainty mirror-work, the choice came naturally to me. Adding to that was the stunning heavy embroidery on the skirt which drew me in completely. My accessories included a mint green maang tikka and matching earrings that contrasted the outfit perfectly!”

Wedding
“As I’d chosen to don a bright color for the earlier functions, I decided to go the other way for my bridal lehenga. Being a huge admirer of the ethnic crafts originating from India, I chose a gota patti work lehenga. To source my outfit I got in touch with designer Swati Ubroi who’s got some truly breathtaking designs in her collection. The outfit I chose was ivory and gold in color and included multi-colored hand-embroidered motifs and patterns using various materials like gotta, beads, and zari. Initially, it was paired with a monochromatic lehenga, but I had it customized with a red velvet dushala and an ombre orange dupatta that covered my head. For the accessories, I opted for a polki-kundan set purchased by my parents back in 2012 from Jaipur’s Rambhajo Jewellers.”
